How to use Zoom:

Before a videoconference:

1. You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a speaker or headphones. You will have the opportunity to check your audio immediately upon joining a meeting.

2. You will receive an invitation for a videoconference from the mediation coordinator or, if you’re the client, your attorney. The invitation will include a link under the words “Click the link below to join your Zoom meeting.” The invitation will also include the 9-digit Meeting ID.

To join the videoconference:

  1. At the start time of your meeting, click on the link in your invitation under “Click the link below to join your Zoom meeting.” If it’s your first time on Zoom, you may be instructed to download the Zoom application. That’s why we suggest you go to https://zoom.us before your conference to download any necessary application or software.

  2. You have an opportunity to test your audio at this point by clicking on “Test Computer Audio.” Once you are satisfied that your audio works, click on “Join audio by computer.”

You may also join a meeting without clicking on the invitation link by going to https://zoom.us/join on any browser and entering the Meeting ID provided in your invitation. Using this method to join the meeting is required if you are accessing your computer remotely.

If you do not have video capability, you can simply dial into the meeting like a traditional conference call. Call either:  1-253-215-8782 or 1-301-715-8592, and then enter your meeting ID#.

Having a problem joining the meeting?

If you are having a problem joining the meeting, call your mediator or Brittany, our Video Conference Coordinator, directly. You will find your mediator’s or Julie’s direct contact number on your invitation to your video conference.
